A TAME Club is an enrichment program that offers activities and curriculum to support students interested in exploring STEM subjects with the guidance of sponsors and leaders. TAME club sponsors are the adult liaisons for the sponsoring organization that provide access to a meeting location and time. TAME club leaders plan, organize and lead activities during TAME club meetings and events.
TAME clubs are inclusive, but recruitment is focused on women and under-represented minority populations. TAME students prepare to compete in the TAME Math and Science Competitions offered free of cost across the state. They may also participate in other competitive programs like robotics (FIRST, BEST, GEAR, etc.), rocketry programs, Future City Challenge or other event of local interest. Students must be registered with a TAME club to compete in Divisional and State TAME Math and Science Competitions.
